NAI Cascade had the pleasure of representing Western Bus Sales, headquartered in Boring, Oregon, in their recent purchase of 2.06 acres off Kingwood and 15th in Redmond. President Mollie Blagg had the following to say about the acquisition:

What are your plans for the site?

Our second generation family owned and run bus dealership is very excited about this expansion opportunity. We will celebrate our company’s 50th anniversary in 2024 and this will be an excellent way to honor our company’s roots of customer service as well as strengthen our foundation for the future.  This will be the first additional service location in our company’s history. The plans for this development are for a 16,130 sq ft building for bus and heavy duty vehicle repair, service & maintenance. This would be a secondary service facility in addition to our main location in Boring, Oregon. Projected new employee count would begin at 6 with room for growth in subsequent years.

Western Bus Sales has been working with REDI. What incentives are available to you? How has that experience been?

This property is located within the City of Redmond Enterprise Zone. We have engaged with Steve Curley at REDI and we are currently working on our application for zone incentives. REDI has been proactive in assisting our business with development approval as well as incentive applications.

What drew you to this location? What makes Central Oregon a great place to do business?

Central Oregon was the right location for our service expansion to act as a hub for our customer base in Central, Eastern, and Southern Oregon. The potential employee base in the area is solid and the industrial property we found met all of our needs.

How was your experience with Walt and NAI Cascade?

Working with Walt has been a joy. Easy going yet professional with great communication and follow up. We knew we were in good hands working with him.
